From blog to audio – our Project Salam translated resources for Birmingham’s refugees now come in mini-podcast flavour!

Some fresh news from our busy Project Salam hub – all our written resources for Arabic, Dari, Pashto, and Ukrainian speaking refugee families in Birmingham and the West Midlands now come in audio format, too. We are pleased to share these free resources with any families who might benefit from them, as well as with the professionals working with these families.

About Project Salam

Project Salam is a support programme for refugee families from Afghanistan, Ukraine and Syria to strengthen and maintain family relationships during their period of resettlement in Birmingham and West Midlands.

We use play therapies like Theraplay® to focus on the parent-child relationship, which can have a transformative impact on families’ sense of safety and wellbeing.

Beacon Family Services works directly with families, as well as with professionals who also support refugee families.

Please use and share

All families and professionals are welcome to use and share our Project Salam resources. If you would like to enquire further about our work with refugee families in Birmingham, please contact Peppy Hills directly at peppy@beaconservices.org.uk.
