Parenting with Theraplay® is a therapeutic group is designed to give adoptive parents, special guardians, and foster carers space and support to think about a child's emotional and sensory needs. It helps them develop tools to manage challenges and strengthen relationships at the centre of everyday life using Theraplay® principles and high-impact relational play. It offers a cost-effective alternative to 1:1 interventions, with ASGSF funded places available.
"The group proved highly effective. I observed meaningful, positive changes in both the foster carer and the child. I would strongly recommend this intervention to any carer. It represents an excellent and forward-thinking opportunity offered by the local authority to an IFA, demonstrating real commitment to improving outcomes for children." (Social Worker)

In person • Commissioned by schools
We create emotionally safe, nurturing environments in schools, equipping children to build positive relationships and regulate their behaviour. Our Theraplay® interventions support children in Key Stages 1 and 2 to develop the social and emotional skills that promote resilience and belonging.
“We found it hugely beneficial to partner with Beacon Family Services to run Group Theraplay® sessions for targeted children and parent sessions. The facilitators understood each student and their unique needs and tailored the programme accordingly. Each child learnt strategies for regulating themselves and benefitted from the group work. Prior to sessions, school needs were discussed, understood and met. The inclusion of parents in the programme was beneficial for all concerned." (Pastoral Lead/Manager, New Hall Primary School)
