Beacon Family Services can help if you work with families who are:

struggling with their child's behaviours or Childhood Challenging Violent and Aggressive Behaviours (CCVAB)

experiencing school anxiety and / or school refusal

experiencing a life change, such as illness, divorce or bereavement

fostering or adopting and looking for support to develop new relationships

looking for support with either neurodivergence, such as Autism or ADHD, or disabilities

finding family life difficult and who would like to deepen their relationships to be a more connected parent

Bespoke Support for Adoptive Families
MIM, Theraplay, DDP, Just Right State

Our highly trained and clinically-supervised professionals provide support to adoptive and kinship families to help build and strengthen relationships. Our packages of support are tailored to the specific needs of each family. Connect for Kids: Group Theraplay®
In person • Funded
Some children need extra support with social and emotional development. Playing with parents and peers in these sessions can build children's confidence and resilience.
Funded Support for Families
Funded • In person • Online
We provide early help to families who have no other access to funded therapy. This support is available in person in the West Midlands, and online in other areas. Introducing Play as a Preventative Response to Emerging Mental Health Needs

An introduction to play-based relational working and relationship-centred parenting. These sessions help professionals supporting families to use evidence-based strategies to calm, soothe and reduce everyday parenting challenges.
Introducing Peer Support Groups

Those offering peer support often have much to share about supporting other parents, but the demand of helping others can become overwhelming. This training and support helps professionals and organisations build a sustainable way of supporting others.

Supportive therapists with lived experience of neurodivergence provide an opportunity for professionals to learn, alongside parents, about current themes and the unique challenges of living in a neurodiverse family.
Join us for a Supporting Families Experiencing Childhood Challenging Violent and Aggressive Behaviours (CCVAB) parent workshop

Our highly trained and experienced social workers and therapists offer professionals an opportunity to increase their understanding and develop their ability to support families experiencing CCVAB.
Theraplay® Peer Support Group

Join our free support network for likeminded professionals. Suitable for professionals with any level of training, or an interest, in Theraplay to gather, share experience and develop their skills.
Supervision:
Support for individuals or organisations working with children and families
In person • Online
We provide expert supervision and support for all therapists using, or looking to use, relational principles in their work. This includes support for Theraplay-trained therapists to develop the use of Theraplay-informed principles within their work. Support is also available for professionals wishing to undertake the Theraplay practicum.
