We support leaders, teachers and teaching assistants to develop, rebuild and repair relationships using talk-based Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and play-based Theraplay® techniques.

These techniques work by helping staff in schools to communicate and connect with pupils in fun, playful and impactful ways.

Beacon Education Services have supported a wide range of pupils from pre-school age to teenagers, including:

Current and former LAC pupils
Vulnerable pupils who may have experienced a life changing event, such as illness, divorce or bereavement
Adoptive or fostered pupils who may be struggling with relationships
SEND pupils with an SEN support plan
Pupils with an EHCP

If you work with children and/or young people, we can provide individual sessions, group sessions and training for educators. To find out more, please get in touch or visit our blog for more information, advice and support.

Due to Covid-19, we are currently offering our therapeutic services via online platforms to ensure families and children who may be struggling can be supported. As with our face-to-face sessions, our digitally delivered Tele-therapy sessions help support children’s and parent or caregiver’s emotional well-being, build resilience, reduce anxieties and help to create a sense of relational safety in these uncertain times.

Here's what people say about us.

“We are grateful for how proactive Jules has been in supporting children with SEND.”
SENDCO at a primary school

"The staff loved last week's session. They were on an absolute high afterwards. I didn't realise that it would have such a positive impact on the staff too!!!”
SENDCO involved in group session

“We have a lot of children who find it difficult to communicate their needs. The sessions with Beacon Education Services helped the pupils build relationships with peers and school staff. They were playing games and having fun. They didn't even realise they were learning.”
Teaching Assistant running a support group for pupils

“Seeing the change in our vulnerable students after Beacon ran a series of sessions for our at-risk students, we've decided to train up some of our staff in Theraplay®. It really has made a huge difference!”
Assistant Principal
